September 15 - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.        B.W. Wells : "Tarheel Ecologist" Teacher Workshop                                   This new six hour workshop will be offered for teachers and NC Division of Parks and Recreation staff as a credited workshop.  Participate is limited sign up by email

September 18 2011- 9 am - noon       Adopt a Highway - Bent Road Clean Up Day Help keep SR 1919 clean and free of trash for the public visiting the end of this dead end road.  Email to RSVP.

September 18, 2011 - Sunday    B.W. WELLS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING • 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. –  catered pig picking lunch.  *members only* • 2:00 - 2:30 – Brief business meeting.         *Keynote speaker* TBA • 2:30 p.m. – Guided tours of Rock Cliff Farm, Zeagle’s Rock and others. RSVP or info at Email or 919/676-1027.  Tours will start and continue after meeting.  RAIN OR SHINE, lets hope for some shine this time.  Membership renewals will be accepted.

October - SAT 8:00 p.m.       B.W. Wells group camp B.W. Wells history talk Open to public.  Association staff will present a program on B.W. Wells and Rock Ciff Farm.

October - 8:00 p.m.       B.W. Wells group camp storytelling Open to public.  Camp fire stories about Falls Lake and B.W. Wells.

2012

March 5 - 2:00 p.m.       B.W. Wells History Hike Celebrate B.W. Wells 127th birthday with a traditional hike and tour of Rock Cliff Farm.  Email to RSVP.

March 20 - 9 am - noon     Volunteer Trail and Grounds work day Help prepare the trails and grounds for Heritage Day.  Numerous trail and building projects will be completed.  Email to RSVP.

MARCH 31 - 2012 - Saturday    B.W. WELLS HERITAGE DAY            9am - 5pm                                     History, Geology, Wildflower and history hikes.  Canoe tours, childrens activities and games.  Join us for this open grounds event, some booths and displays will be set up.     GO TO HERITAGE DAY SITE  FOR MORE INFORMATION

April         Wildflower Walk at Mitchells Mill Hugh Nourse will lead a trip to view unique wildflowers of open rock faces at this site approximately 10 miles east of Wake Forest . Email to RSVP.

April        Wildflower Kayak Trip Hugh Nourse will lead a paddling trip to Wyatt's Bend to view Painted Buckeye in bloom, unique geology and of course Zeagle's Rock.. Email to RSVP.

May         Wildflower Walk in Bishops Grant/Wake Forest Hugh Nourse will lead a wildflower walk in the Bishops Grant Subdivision in Wake Forest  . Email to RSVP.
