B.W.Wells Educational Program Opportunities
Rock Cliff Farm is only open for guided tours.
There are a multitude of programs and tours available for organized groups and schools.  Bus parking requires advance notice.

• Program requests should be made at least one month in advance. 
• Program limit is 30 participants per guide. 
• Parents and/or teachers must accompany children. 
• Program length is approximately 1 – 1 ½ hours. 
• Terrain around farm Ό mile and easy, walk to Zeagle’s Rock 1/2 mile moderately difficult. 
• A Park Ranger or BW Wells Association volunteer will meet you at the front gate and direct you where to park.

Children's Activities
There are five children’s activities for all ages available which can supplement or replace standard tours:

• Natural Gardens of NC - using a giant map of NC, students place plants in the right habitat across the state.

• What would you call it?  - Guessing game of wildlife and nature mystery items

• What’s coming time? – A scavenger hunt style game around the farm

• Pine needle painting – using BW Wells method of pine needle paint brush students paint a landscape or portrait.

• Kids Ecology Hike – kids explore different plant habitats around the farm and learn why certain plants grow where they do.
Outreach Programs
Outreach programs are available to schools and facitilites within 30-45 minutes of Falls Lake State Recreation Area.  Many of the above programs can be adapted for the classroom or lecture hall.  Power point presentations and slide shows are available.  Indicate preference on request form below.
